The unique resort experience at Bah�a Salinas Beach Resort & Spa transplants guests to rooms that are nestled in a 2,800-acre fish and wildlife preserve, where travelers can easily spot popular birds and other forms of wildlife from the comfort of their own room. The hotel has recently been renovated and plans for a large extension continue to constantly improve a stay at the resort. The Salinas, for which the resort is named, come from the salt deposits that were mined by Ponce de Leon in the early 1500s, and whose springs feed mineral baths on the hotel's property.
