Condado Beach

Backed by the high rise buildings of San Juan, Condado Beach. Because this is a public beach it is usually pretty crowded, but be warned: the undertow here can be strong a times, though it makes for a great surfing environment.

Set toward the western outskirts of Condado District, Condado Beach is on the North East coast of Puerto Rico, and happily welcomes residents and travelers lodging in this neighborhood and nearby. Regardless of whether you're staying in the vicinity, you should consider stopping by for some fun in the sun. Social beachgoers may particularly enjoy this beach due to its busy, urban location. In fact, Condado Beach would be especially convenient for guests of the nearby hotels, and those who prefer a crowded city scene over a quiet, suburban one.

To access Condado Beach, take Avenida Ashford to Park la Ventana al Mar where you will find parking.

Situated in the western corner of San Juan, Condado Beach is protected by a natural rock barrier that creates smooth waters. The beach is modest, but features tan colored sand, aquamarine waters, plenty of shade, and a separate lagoon.

There is also a concession stand available. If available, you could also order some food from one of the mobile vendors who are typically found at this location.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. As one of the few public beaches in the area, Condado Beach attracts a lot of locals. Tourists to San Juan not staying at a beachfront hotel also frequent the beach during the day.

Before you pick a spot and plan an outing by the water, you may want to consider how crowded it might be that day. While some prefer a crowded beach filled with people and activity, many are just looking for a serene spot of sand.

This beach is positioned on the North East coast of Puerto Rico. It is near Park La Ventana Al Mar, which is seen next to to the west, and it is one of the attractions in the region.
